In order to bring people together and ignite social change, you have to take action. Hav A Sole was built upon this principle, and with the motto “Just Do It’, it’s safe to say Nike understands this concept too.

March 26th is celebrated amongst sneakerheads as Nike Air Max Day, paying homage to the day the Nike Air Max series hit the market in 1987 and changed the sneaker industry forever. This year, in celebration of Air Max Day, Nike hosted a shoe drive called Give Fresh Air, aimed at igniting social change and giving back to the community. Partnering with sneaker boutiques and local organizations like Hav A Sole, Give Fresh Air collected donations from generous sneakerheads all across North America.

Hav A Sole partnered with participating West Coast locations Undefeated on La Brea, Laced in the South Bay and BAIT in San Diego. In Los Angeles, home of Hav A Sole headquarters, Undefeated on La Brea hosted a special collaboration with Ron Finely the Gangster Gardner. Providing plants, pots, and soil, sneakerheads who came to Undefeated with a donation were able to pot a plant of their choice, bringing the name Give Fresh Air to life in a yet another way. While we are still waiting on the total sneakers donated from the Bay and San Diego, the Nike donation bin at Undefeated alone brought in a staggering 468 pairs of sneakers!

The Hav A Sole Organization was humbled and honored to have been part of such an epic celebration of community building, social change, and sneaker culture. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Nike, Undefeated, Laced, BAIT, Ron Finely, and all our sneakerheads for coming together on Air Max Day to make the world a better place for all.
